I'm sure some of you will agree with me that it can be difficult to find beauty brands or products that are effective for us and are environmentally friendly. Recently, I've tested and trialled quite a few sustainable beauty products and I want to share 5 of my favourite products!

1| One Ocean Beauty - Bioactive Body Sculpting Marine Cream

This brand is very new to me. I stumbled across their Instagram page and next thing I know, I found myself browsing through their product range. One Ocean Beauty is deemed the new wave of clean beauty, where science and sustainability meet! (SOLD!). They are committed to the preservation and restoration of the oceans through partnership with Oceana. I've only tried one product from this brand - i.e. the Body Sculpting Marine Cream, and I enjoy using it so far. I am excited to try more from this brand. Oh, and the packaging is fully recyclable!

2| Rahua - Shampoo & Conditioner

Another new brand I've learned about recently is Rahua. I have recently tried their shampoo and conditioner. I like to wash my hair almost everyday, and I find that this combo is perfect for my hair. My hair feels silky smooth and is visibly healthier. I am not very fond of the smell, it's just something I need to get used to. Learn more about this amazing brand here.

3| L'Occitane - Shea Butter (multipurpose, I use this as a lip balm)

I've been loyal to this product for over 9 years. The Shea Butter product by L'Occitane is one of my favourite lip balms. I used to suffer from lip licker's dermatitis and this fixed it! When I have extra dry patches on my skin during winter time, this product is definitely something I always reach out for. Guaranteed, your skin will be transformed overnight, and no more dry patches. As a brand, L'Occitane is committed to protecting nature and they offer recycling service in many of their stores, to help us recycle difficult-to-recycle packaging!

4| Sun Bum - Face 50 (SPF 50, Broad Spectrum Facial Sunscreen)

Courtesy of Brand

Some chemicals within our sunscreens have been scientifically shown to affect marine life. Whilst the use of sunscreen is indispensable for our skin health and appearance, we can opt for reef-friendly sunscreens. There are many brands out there, but the one I've tried and loved is the Sun Bum Face 50. I actually use this for my body as well as the formula is light and non-sticky.

5| Medik8 - Crystal Retinal 6

Courtesy of Brand

Though this product is not a natural, organic skincare product, as a brand, Medik8 uses 100% renewable energy sources to power their production line and is continuing to move towards a more sustainable brand. I love that Medik8 products are powered by science and I have seen results with their Crystal Retinal 6, especially with my fine lines. It's one of my favourite retinoid products to date.
